The Geelong Candlelight Vigil will be held on Wednesday 7 May, coinciding with National Family Violence Remembrance Day.
The Geelong Candlelight Vigil Forum is dedicated to honouring the women and children who have been tragically killed as a result of family and domestic violence. It’s an opportunity to come together to share stories of strength, inspire meaningful change, and ensure that we never forget the people behind the statistics.
Background: Each year, on the first Wednesday in May, Safe Steps holds a candlelight vigil to remember those lost to family violence in the last year. The Candlelight Vigil provides a space for people to come together to grieve for them, share messages of hope, and ensure that we never forget the people behind the statistics.
