Fundraising

Share our common goal

By fundraising for us within your community, workplace, sporting club or school you will be sharing our vision of a community free from sexual assault and family violence committed to the principles of social justice and human rights.

You can host your own event or fundraiser and start raising awareness about us and the people we support while having fun along the way.

The impact of your funds

Your generosity is making a difference to the people we support.

Here are some examples of how your fundraising helps:

  • Providing women and children fleeing family violence with emergency accommodation and essential items like food, petrol vouchers and sanitary items.
  • Supplying our Refuge with items like linen, furniture and kitchen essentials. We are also able to provide the women with moving packs for when they relocate to permanent accommodation.
  • Enabling children fleeing violence to access school essentials including uniforms, text books and extra-curricular activities.
  • Helping our clients recover from family and/or sexual violence with extra-curricular activities like enjoying time at theme parks, the zoo and the movies.
  • Access to therapeutic activities like equine therapy as well as purchasing therapeutic resources such as art and sensory supplies.

The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre acknowledges the traditional owners and custodians of the land we stand on. We are committed to working toward creating a community where all people indigenous and non-indigenous are safe, connected and empowered to live well. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre recognises the diverse needs of our community and we ensure our services are inclusive of all children, young people and their families including those who are of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, those who identify as LGBTIQ and persons living with disability. We work collaboratively with people and partner organisations who also support our diverse client group. Interpreter and translator services are available to all our clients upon request.
