About The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre

We are a leading organisation offering a comprehensive suite of services to clients and the community across the Barwon, West Melbourne and Wimmera Regions. Providing specialist sexual assault and family violence programs and services, including 24 hour crisis care support, crisis accommodation, case management, therapeutic counselling, early intervention and professional education and training, we continue to grow and develop our offerings.

About The Role

If you are passionate about all thing learning and development, then this is an exciting opportunity for you. The Orangisational Development Advisor will work on key projects to ensure consistent and integrated work practice across organisation. The role will involve the development and implementation of an L&D calendar, design and development of online learning modules, coordination of the traineeship program, development of the leadership and support for wellbeing initiatives across the organisation. This role is part time or full time minimum 0.8 FTE (4 days per week).

Key Selection Criteria

  • Essential Qualifications and Experience
    • Bachelor qualifications in Human Resources or relevant business discipline, desirable.
    • Min 3 years’ experience in Generalist HR function
  • Essential Skills and Knowledge
    • Sound knowledge of the Australian human resources framework and contemporary best
      practice
    • Sound understanding and ability to interpret employment legislation, Awards, and Enterprise
      Agreements.
    • Demonstrated experience of coordination and facilitation and delivery of effective learning
      and development or similar programs
    • Demonstrated experience in the creation and application of policy and procedures
      Strong relationship building, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Ability to manage priorities whilst maintaining positive stakeholder relationships
    • Innovative approach to systems and process improvements
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • A flexible approach and the ability to be proactive and productive where there is ambiguity.
    • Ability to adhere to the organisations policies and procedures.

    Applicants must provide the name and current contact details of 2-3 professional referees including the most recent or current supervisor.

  • Period of Appointment

    This position is Full time or Part Time (minimum 4 days per week)

  • Hours of Work
    • The position is full-time or part-time (minimum 30.4 hours per week);
    • Hours will usually be worked during business hours of 9.00 am to 5.06 pm, Monday to Friday;
    • Flexibility in working hours will be required from time to time, based on operational needs
  • Salary and Conditions
    • Annual salary is $92,837.90 (pro-rata for part time)
    • Industrial Instrument: The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement 2018, Business Services, Administration and Support Services employee.
    • Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia. PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a Public Benevolent Institution.
    • Superannuation: The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.
    • Probationary Period – 6 months with a review conducted during this time
  • Employee Responsibility – Mandatory prior to commencement

    Employee expense:

    • Valid Working with Children Check
    • National Police Records Check – renewed every 3 years of employment at employee expense
