Vicarious Resilience and Sustainability: Primary Prevention of Violence Against Women Practitioners
Designed for practitioners working in the primary prevention of violence against women and/or gender equality roles, and managers who support practitioners in these fields.
As we work towards preventing this violence from happening, we are working with data and stories informed by people’s lived experience of violence in the midst of creating long term change, in a continually evolving environment.
In this professional environment, this training workshop provides opportunity for participants to:
- Explore the drivers and elements of burnout, compassion fatigue, moral distress and vicarious trauma
- Gain an understanding of vicarious resilience, compassion satisfaction and moral resilience in a PVAW context
- Explore some of the challenges and opportunities specific to working in primary prevention
- Explore strategies within an organisational and individual resilience framework that strengthen professional practice and practitioner sustainability
