In October 2012, we began partnering and co-locating with Victoria Police Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) and DHHS Child Protection Sexual Abusive Intervention Team (SAIT) to form the Barwon Multidisciplinary Centre (MDC) offering a shared response to children and adults impacted by sexual assault. Since 2018 the Barwon MDC have expanded our services to include women and children experiencing family violence and we were joined by the Victoria Police Family Violence Unit.

Clients can also access Barwon Health Community Health Nurses, financial counsellors, legal practitioners and forensic medical services as part of the Barwon MDC.
