Thrive: Vicarious Trauma and Worker Wellbeing

Thrive is designed for professionals supporting people impacted by trauma.

Co-delivered by experienced therapeutic practitioners and training specialists, Thrive training presents an opportunity to reflect, strategise, and connect to the “why” of your work.

Following this training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe adverse impacts including burnout and vicarious trauma
  • Describe growth factors including compassion satisfaction and vicarious resilience
  • Identify effects of adverse impacts and growth factors in self and others
  • Recognise resilience frameworks in an organisational setting
  • Implement individual strategies for growth and self-care
  • Locate themselves within a “window of wellbeing”
  • Reflect on the effectiveness of support and care strategies
  • Identify additional support services in the Barwon Region
