Body and Mind program – Wimmera

The Body and Mind program assists with self-awareness, understanding of trauma and calming the body and mind. This program offers a number of online video sessions designed for all people who have been impacted by sexual assault and women who have been impacted by family violence.

Each of these sessions offer strategies that will assist with day to day living and enhance your resilience following trauma. Each video ‘stands alone’ and you are welcome to view these sessions in any order, and watch them as many times as you like.

Before watching any of the sessions, we encourage you to watch the introduction first, which provides an overview of the Body and Mind program and the steps to take in setting up prior to watching and participating in a session.

If you need support at any time during or after watching a session, please contact our Intake team on 03 5222 4318 for Barwon and 03 5381 1211 for Wimmera support. Further support details are available here.

The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre acknowledges the traditional owners and custodians of the land we stand on. We are committed to working toward creating a community where all people indigenous and non-indigenous are safe, connected and empowered to live well. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre recognises the diverse needs of our community and we ensure our services are inclusive of all children, young people and their families including those who are of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, those who identify as LGBTIQ and persons living with disability. We work collaboratively with people and partner organisations who also support our diverse client group. Interpreter and translator services are available to all our clients upon request.
